GENERAL APPEARANCE
A small sized dog, strong active agile terrier. Alert
and lively with an inquiring nature. The coat to be
smooth.

CHARACTERISTICS
The dog’s inborn skill for hunting and its internal
strength and fortitude.

TEMPERAMENT
Fearless and bold, confident and eager to learn,
showing loyalty to the owners.

COAT
The coat to be short with a fine smooth texture.
Faults- Coat wiry or coarse.

COLOUR
Predominantly white, with either black or tan or both
colour combinations. White and black. White and black
with tan markings or white and tan. No other colours are permitted.
Faults- Full coloured coats.

SKIN
To be highly pigmented.
Faults- No pigmentation at all.

WEIGHT
Not under 3.5kg (7lb 7ozs) or over 5.5kgs (11lb 11ozs).

Faults- Overweight or underweight.

 

HEAD
To be in proportion to the body, lightly chiseled.

Muzzle- To equal the length of the skull, gradual tapering

Skull- to be semi flat. Fault- Too rounder or apple headed.

Stop- Moderate - the stop is between the eyes and at the
end of the skull.
Fault- too much stop or too little.

Eyes-Medium sized slightly oval in shape. Dark in colour, well
filled under the eyes.


Ears- Pointed V shape. ERECT or FOLDED. When folded, the
line of the fold to be above the level of the skull. The width
between the ears to be the same as the length of the ear.
Fault- Rounded ears.

Mouth- Strong jaws with a regular bite. Fault- Overshot or undershot jaws.

Nose-to be solid black.




BODY
Height - (from the ground to the shoulder) Between 24cm
(9 1/2”) to 30.5cm (12”).
Fault- Under and overheight dogs.

Length- (between the shoulders and the root of the tail)
The length of the body is to be in proportion with the height
of the dog.
Fault- Too long or too short body

Neck- To be in proportion with the body. Strong and
allowing the head to be carried with poise.
Fault- Too long, short or weak.

Tail- Optionally docked. If docked, it should be done
between the second and third joint.

Front Legs- Straight in bone from the shoulder to the
toes, whether viewed from the front or the sides.
Prefer dew claws removed.

Back- Straight and strong. Fault- Sway back, rounded rump.

Elbows- Perpendicular and close to the body. Fault- Turned in or out.

Feet- Compact and oval, not round, toes moderately
arched.
Fault- Turned in or out.

Shoulders- To be well sloped and not too heavily muscled.

Chest- Moderately shallow Faults- Too narrow, too broad (within the size of the dog).

Back Legs-
Strong and muscular, free from any droop or
crouch, carried straight forward and parallel.

Hock- Straight, strong, muscular and in proportion with the dog.

NOTE:
The male animals should have two apparently normal testicles
fully descended into the scrotum when matured.

 

SPECIAL NOTE:
1. Any variation from the Mini Foxie Standard- for example, Jack Russell, Corgi, Dachshund, Whippet, English Toy Terrier, Chihuahua, Miniature Pinscher or any other breed in the ancestry of the dog will not be allowed.
2. A desexed or debarked dog or bitch is acceptable.
